Bitter Gourd Green Shake (P)

Bitter Gourd fruit most of us ignore in stores or have never seen. You can find it in pretty much any Asian or Mexican store in the USA.

This fruit is the one that shouldn't be ignored though if you are carrying about your health. It is full of nutrients like iron, potassium, vitamin C, and magnesium, it boasts a long list of health benefits. It maintains blood sugar levels with its natural insulin and lowers bad cholesterol in addition to helping you maintain beautiful skin and clear complexion as a result of its high content of antioxidants.

It's not very easy just to eat it but it's perfect for green juices and green shakes as an addition.

You can use this recipe for instance:

  • 1 smaller bitter gourd or 1/2 of the large one

  • 1/2 avocado

  • black pepper to taste

  • 1 cucumber

  • You can add red bell pepper and half and half of lemon is you wish to change the taste a bit.
